Washington, DC– The TechAmerica Foundation today announced the 2013 American Technology Awards (ATAs) finalists in 15 categories from over 100 outstanding entries. The awards are the only national “Best Of” for technology products and services across the technology industry.
Awards are given out in the categories of Advanced Manufacturing/Technology Manufacturing; Aerospace & Defense; Clean Tech/Green Tech; Cloud Computing/Software as a Service; Consumer Electronics/Computers & Peripherals; Cybersecurity; Health & Medical Technologies; Internet Services, E-Commerce & Mobility; IT Services & Consulting; Semiconductors & Electronic Components; Server & Storage Technology; Smart Grid & Smart Instruments; Software; and Telecommunications. A new award was added this year that recognize achievement in big data applications, the fastest growing segment of the technology industry.
“The caliber of the nominations this year was absolutely outstanding. One of our judges put it best ‘the applications have never been so great or so hard to judge,’” said Shawn Osborne, the Chairman of the TechAmerica Foundation. “These finalists are a testimonial to the vibrancy and innovative spirit of our industry and we look forward to showcasing the winners at the Technology and Government dinner in June.”
Chosen on the basis of a thorough evaluation by industry experts and technology leaders, the ATAs are presented during the Technology and Government Dinner in Washington, D.C. This year’s dinner is June 20, 2013 at the Ronald Reagan Building and will feature Honeywell Chairman and CEO Dave Cote.
