Plantronics Remembers Long-Time Board Member Trude Taylor

February 25, 2008

Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE: PLT) today paid tribute to the life of Trude Taylor, a technology pioneer and member of Plantronics’ Board of Directors for 39 years, who died unexpectedly on Friday, February 22.

“We are deeply saddened by Trude’s passing and extend our sincere condolences to his family,” said Ken Kannappan, president and CEO of Plantronics. “Trude was a consummate professional who contributed heavily to Plantronics’ success over the past four decades. He was a great role model, a very trusted advisor with excellent judgment, and a friend to all that met him.”

Other members of the Plantronics Board of Directors remarked on Trude’s legacy:

“Trude always carried himself with great dignity and grace, and I’m very grateful that we became colleagues and friends,” said Marv Tseu, director and chairman of the Board of Plantronics. “His technology insights and financial acumen were instrumental in helping shape Plantronics and preparing the company for broad growth. We’ll miss his bigger-than-life presence and ageless spirit.”

“I remember meeting Trude when I first started work on the Plantronics account in 1987 and being impressed with his knowledge and wisdom,” said Marshall Mohr. “My respect for those traits only grew over time. His contributions were immense and he will be missed.”

“Trude has been a true role model, providing great judgment and a unique balance of directness and tactfulness,” remarked Roger Wery. “He was an inspiration for all of us.”

Mr. Taylor has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1969, helping guide the company from a small start-up to the worldwide leader in communication headsets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Taylor was chairman of the Board of Directors, president and CEO of Electronic Memories and Magnetics Corporation, a manufacturer of computer peripherals.
