Five New Wireless and Corded Headsets Bring Gaming Audio and Chat to Life
Plantronics® (NYSE: PLT), today expanded its award-winning family of
gaming headsets with the release of the wireless and corded GameCom®
headsets for the Xbox 360® and Playstation® 3. The new line up, designed
to enhance gaming experiences through rich, vibrant audio, features a
range of headsets to suit any console gamer this Christmas. Headlined by
the GameCom X95 Wireless Stereo headset and GameCom X40 Stereo headset
for Xbox 360 users, as well as the GameCom P90 Bluetooth headset for the
PlayStation 3, the new Gamecom range features the perfect present for
friends and family who love console gaming.
Wireless Freedom for Xbox 360 Gaming
The Plantronics GameCom X95 is a wireless gaming headset that delivers
full stereo sound from 40mm speakers. With a closed-ear design and
intuitive on-ear controls for changing volume and audio levels, users
can immerse themselves in games, music and movies without disturbing
others. The GameCom X95 has a sleek and modern design with a concealable
mic that easily tucks into the headband when not in use. Perfect for
long gaming sessions, the GameCom X95 can be used for more than 20 hours
before replacing the included AAA batteries.
The new Plantronics GameCom X40 is a corded headset that features the
same 40mm speakers as the GameCom X95 for exceptional stereo sound. The
GameCom X40 eliminates cumbersome in-line controls by placing separate
volume and audio control buttons on the ear pods. The headset is
extremely lightweight and features specially designed cushioned earpods
and headband that redistribute pressure for a great fit.
Plantronics
also introduced refreshed versions of the GameCom X30 and GameCom X10
corded headsets for the Xbox 360.
Easy, Wireless Chat for the PlayStation 3
The perfect PlayStation 3 companion, the new GameCom P90 Bluetooth
headset enables users to talk to friends wirelessly during gaming
sessions. The GameCom P90 can also connect to a mobile phone, so users
can choose between game chats and mobile calls while enjoying the same,
crystal-clear audio. The GameCom P90 features QuickPair technology for
easy pairing to the PlayStation 3, and includes dedicated mute volume
and on/off buttons for convenience.
The Plantronics GameCom has a slim earloop and contoured eartip for a
comfortable, secure fit. It includes a USB charging cable that connects
to the PlayStation 3 system.
“With the success of Plantronics PC gaming headsets we’re excited to be
moving into console gaming in a much larger way,” said Peter Petrides,
National Retail Manager, Plantronics Australia. “Console gaming is now
more popular than ever, and the new Gamecom line up offers a great
present for your family and friends this Christmas, at prices to suit
any budget.”
