Atlas Gentech today announced a change in its distribution strategy,
revealing a strong and renewed focus on Unified Communications (UC) and
Plantronics products.
Steven Varney, Managing Director, Atlas Gentech Communications Division
said the company has been distributing Plantronics products for more
than 15 years, and recognises that UC presents the largest opportunity
for growth in the company’s history with communications products. “We
have advised Plantronics of our intention to redirect resources from the
Plantronics retail line of products to unified communications. This will
enable Atlas Gentech to concentrate on emerging unified communications
opportunities, as well as call center and enterprise sectors,” said

The strategic shift is partially a result of Plantronics’ recent
announcement of an expanded unified communications portfolio of simply
smarter communications products designed to address today’s business
environments and evolving work styles. The new offerings, which include
the Savi® 700 series, Savi 440, Blackwire® 435, and the CS500TM series,
deliver intelligent technology with elegant design. The range is for
business professionals who interact with a mobile phone, softphone, and
a desk phone, or need to switch between all three in today’s unified
communications environment.
Plantronics’ Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, Graeme

Atlas Gentech’s new distribution strategy will be implemented from June
1, 2011.
