Forget about Missing Meetings, Dialing-In Late or Scrambling to Find Dial-In Information
SANTA CRUZ, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Frustrated by the time it takes to dial into conference calls? Annoyed by the codes you have to use to dial into a conference call and the time it takes to get connected? Plantronics (NYSE:PLT) has an app for that. The InstantMeeting™ app, now available in the Android™ Market, BlackBerry App World™, Apple® App Store™ and for Windows® based PCs, lets you press a single button to dial into a conference call.
Designed to ease the pain of remembering dial in numbers, conference codes and leader PINs, InstantMeeting identifies conference calls in your calendar and then prompts you to access the call with a single push of a button. The app works with Android, BlackBerry® and iPhone smart phones as well as Microsoft® Lync™ or Skype™ with Outlook®.
“Eliminate the hassle of having to punch in more numbers than you can remember which can be hazardous while driving,” said Gunjan Bhow, vice president and general manager of New Ventures at Plantronics. “With InstantMeeting, you won’t waste valuable time for a conference call to start while everyone struggles to dial in.”
If you use Skype to connect to conference calls, the Outlook version of InstantMeeting is available as a free download at InstantMeeting.plantronics.com and the Skype app store. The Enterprise version, supporting Lync and Skype, can be downloaded by individuals or deployed by IT departments. Both versions identify conference calls and prompt you to dial in through Microsoft Lync or Skype.
InstantMeeting, coupled with Skype on your PC, makes dialing into conference calls free and extremely easy, no matter where you are. Features of the app include one touch connections, instant reconnection to dropped calls, and the ability to message other meeting attendees if you’re running late.
InstantMeeting is available for both enterprises and individuals; more information and links to download the app are available at http://instantmeeting.plantronics.com.
Individuals can get the app for $4.99 from the Android Market, BlackBerry App World and the App Store and enterprises can also license the software.
