New offering is a subscription programme creating a complete, budget-friendly headset service solution for Cloud Service Providers
Budapest, Hungary – 23rd April 2015 - Plantronics (NYSE: PLT), today announced Plantronics Device-as-a-Service Flex, offering a 12, 24, or 36-month programme that allows Cloud Service Providers to act as a one-stop shop for a complete, communications solution for audio devices on a simple, flexible monthly payment model. It complements the Cloud Service Provider’s subscription business model for SMB and mid-market businesses, by adding a new recurring revenue stream with bundled world-class Plantronics customer support.
For customers, the Plantronics Device-as-a-Service Flex programme will make it easy to acquire a complete communications solution in a packaged, budget-friendly manner from a single Cloud Service Provider. It means the programme is flexible and gives customers the ability to scale usage to align with changes in their business and match the right communications devices to their users’ work styles.
“At Plantronics, we are keen to give our customers what they want. Our new Plantronics Device-as-a-Service Flex programme does just that, allowing them to see clear benefits with our audio solutions and have peace of mind with a unique, flexible service model,” said Philip Vanhoutte, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Europe & Africa, Plantronics. “We will continue to offer innovative and effective ways for companies to work smarter, not harder.”
“As their business needs evolve, customers want a simple and agile way to acquire a complete Unified Communications solution,” said Morgan de Ruiter, Head of Strategic Partners Europe & Africa, Plantronics. “The new Device-as-a-Service Flex programme makes it easy for the customer and easy for the Cloud Service Provider.”
According to Tiffani Bova, Vice President, Gartner in the June 2014 report entitled, Tech Go-to-Market: Selling Unified Communications in a Highly Disruptive Market: “Developing an effective sales and go-to-market model in this ultracompetitive, rapidly evolving environment is challenging, but essential, to capture growth. Established and emerging providers must develop agile sales programs and operations that allow them to respond rapidly to market shifts.”
“Exertis congratulates Plantronics new program, which addresses the need for a focused customer service in the UCAAS market and we are very pleased to launch this exciting new service offering.” Comments Phil Brown, Exertis B2B Director. “As an European distribution leader and innovator, Exertis will be including the Plantronics DaaS Flex in our Conect leasing module, giving our reseller base access to Plantronics headsets and service on subscription and as part of their cloud offer. Plantronics DAAS Flex is a perfect match to increase our service value toward our customers.”
The new Plantronics Device-as-a-Service Flex programme is available now for SMB and mid-market customers across Europe, including Germany, UK and Ireland, Benelux, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal.
