Google Smart Lock Integration (at CES 2016 only)
This technology preview will showcase the integration of Google's Smart Lock with the WC2 concept device and demonstrate smart security for Android and Chrome OS devices. This sophisticated level of security uses a variety of factors to determine if it's safe to keep a phone and/or laptop unlocked or if action should be taken to lock the devices when separated from the rightful owner.
Gemalto Voice-Activated Secure Payment
Working with digital security expert, Gemalto, PLT Labs will demonstrate how a person's voice can be used to confirm payment on a point-of-sale (POS) transaction, leveraging the secure element in the WC2 concept device to streamline a secure payment scenario.
Always On | IoT
At CES 2015, PLT Labs demonstrated how "always on" listening could trigger a door lock/unlock action via voice command. This year, PLT Labs has extended the "always on" listening capabilities of the WC2 concept device to show how a person's voice can control everyday actions, such as turning on/off lights.
WebRTC (at AT&T 2016 Developer Summit only)
In collaboration with AT&T, Plantronics has implemented the AT&T Enhanced WebRTC API into its customer service center to enable "click-to-call" functionality on the support section of its website. This demo will show how people are instantly connected to a Plantronics support technician with a single click of a button from the browser.
