Japan industry veteran to focus on expanding growth in unified communications and collaboration market in the Japan market
JAPAN, January 23, 2020 – Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE: PLT) (“Poly”), a global communications company that powers human connection and collaboration, today announced the appointment of Erwin Matti as Country Manager, Japan.
Matti will oversee the enterprise business for Poly, spanning voice, video, content and cloud solutions for customers as they work, share, collaborate, and play. In this role, he will be responsible for implementing the organization’s Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies and sales coverage models to both customers and partners with Poly’s expansive offering of products and solutions, positioning the company to meet the unique needs of Japanese businesses and enterprises for easier and more consistent Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC&C) solutions.

Matti brings with him over 20 years’ experience in the IT and Networking industry, and most recently held key sales leadership roles in Japan for Palo Alto Networks. Prior to that, Matti led several management roles for Enterprise Sales at Cisco Systems, during which time he developed a passion for UC&C. Matti is part of the Poly APAC leadership team and reports to Pierre-Jean Châlon, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific, Poly.
